R-134a, R-404a, R-452a. Recovery, vacuum, charge by weight or pressure. Leak detection with halogen and electronic detectors.
Sensor replacement
Supply/return air, defrost, ambient, compressor discharge. Calibration, error code validation, thermocouple soldering where needed.
Refrigeration loop repair
Copper brazing, filter-drier and TXV replacement. Condenser and evaporator work. Recovery after emergency depressurisation.
Electrical & power side

PTI (Pre-Trip Inspection)
Pre-loading inspection at the port or terminal: controller PTI test, tightness check, refrigerant top-up, sensor calibration, mode verification. We seal the unit with our security seal on completion.
Controller history download
We pull full MicroLink / µP-T / MD-i logs for the voyage — temperature graphs, alarm events, door openings. Needed for spoiled-cargo investigations, insurance claims and reefer freight claims.
Diesel gensets
Clip-on and trailer gensets from Carrier, Thermo King and Cummins for reefers. Rental, repair, scheduled maintenance. The fallback when the grid is down or the cargo travels off-grid.
Reefer container storage
Guarded yard in Odesa with 380 V hook-ups. Includes temperature monitoring, weekly start-up runs and technical supervision. Monthly billing.

SunCold is a specialised service provider for refrigerated container repair and marine refrigeration units from Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin, and StarCool. We operate nationwide in Ukraine with our central workshop in Odesa and site visits to the ports of Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi, plus the terminals of Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Lviv. Our team includes four mobile crews with their own tools, diagnostic equipment (halogen and electronic leak detectors, manifold gauge sets, digital thermometers, programmers for MicroLink and µP-T controller firmware), and an on-truck inventory of consumables. Keypad and LCD display replacement on a Thermo King MP-3000 controller
The reefer arrived with a dead control panel: the membrane keypad contacts were burnt out and the LCD display had faded beyond legibility. We replaced the keypad membrane and the LCD module, then tested every mode — the unit holds its setpoint again and is fully controllable from the panel.

Refrigerant leak repair, fan replacement and R-452A recharge on a Thermo King unit
The reefer wasn't holding temperature because of a refrigerant leak. We located the leak on the coil with an electronic detector, replaced the condenser fan and the filter driers, evacuated the system and recharged it with R-452A. After a load test the unit was back on setpoint.

Low-pressure switch replacement and R-452A recharge on a Thermo King unit
The unit wouldn't start — the low-pressure protection kept tripping because of low refrigerant. We replaced the low-pressure cutout switch (genuine Thermo King part 414473), recharged the system with R-452A and ran the unit under load to verify.

Carrier Micro-Link 2 controller repair: control board and backup battery replacement
A Carrier ThinLine R-134a reefer with a faulty Micro-Link 2 controller. We opened the control box, replaced the controller board and the Carrier Transicold backup battery (30-50377-00), and verified every operating mode. The controller runs the unit correctly again.

Micro-Link 3 fault-code diagnostics and temperature sensor replacement — Carrier, Kyiv
A Carrier ThinLine R-134a reefer in Kyiv with a fault on the Micro-Link 3 controller (code P4-0 FAIL). We ran diagnostics, found the faulty temperature sensor, replaced it and verified the unit through its function codes. It reads temperature correctly again and holds its setpoint.

A Star Cool Integrated R-134a reefer was losing refrigerant through a leak in the cooling circuit.
